Leal’s last one looked like more than a 3.34 to me.

Sablone’s back in it, now! Wow they’re pretty much all landing some solid grinds now. Oh man, awesome to see Momiji land that last one.

Ah man, yeah Zwetsloot’s form is just great, she’s confident and nails the execution every time. She’s killing it.

Guess the speed here is much lower though, less airtime, less tricks. But the control is excellent, the way you bail is also part of the art. Bailing (falling) also looks easy, but it’s not, it hurts bad even when you do it right.

Ah #skateboarding #Tokyo2020 Already noticing a difference in speed and airtime, but being lighter and lower to the ground should theoretically lead to better performance. If this seems less impressive than the “men’s street,” it’s purely cultural.

Sablone seemed pleased with the 2.52, 🇺🇸 represent.

Just as pumped on this women’s street lineup. Never seen Momiji skate, but this is gonna be great.

Can’t read this because it’s behind a paywall, BUT I see this all the time at the skatepark. Now that Japan has a gold, they’ll want it next time, and I don’t think it’ll be renegades anymore. It’ll be interesting to see the demographics change at the park. https://t.co/HJzVuAmAnc

@pourteaux Figured this out in 2017-->altcoins were the original defi. There’s no fundamental difference to having tokens on their own blockchain or the same blockchain (eg Bitcoin, like RSK or whatever, too). Hence my love and curiosity about spacechains.

@Kaiwingchun @Hello_World @DavidDeutschOxf BoI was too vague, sure, it has a plethora of meanings. And there is something more universal about our brain than any other brain we’ve encountered. Anyway my point was, your point is pedantic, I think Deutsch’s was rhetorical. Fight headlines with headlines?

@Kaiwingchun @Hello_World @DavidDeutschOxf Rhetorically comparing tomatoes to people here is bad for people because it takes liberties that lead to a Principle of Mediocrity mode of thinking. It takes a reader of Deutsch to realize how a CENTRAL “nervous system” (aka brain) is a Beginning of Infinity. Tomatoes aren’t.

@saitomri And during the interview Hoefler came over to congratulate him and he started to tear up. Beautiful moments.

Horigome!
codybaldwin
Down to Japan and USA! Represent! Amazing Horigome, amazing. It’s so more about the execution for judging than the trick itself, you can see it so much here with Horigome.
codybaldwin
USA has this on lock I think. Commeee on. Horigome is second, it is a really tight competition here at the end! This is great!

There is definitely a part of skate culture where you have a run and you want to start the run over if you mess up, like speed runs in video games. I feel like they need to get used to continuing after a single failure, because I do notice that 1st miss heavy psychological affect

Man final round round is just gorgeous skating, true freaks. Occasionally they come down crooked but just the accuracy of these tricks is wild.
