Less minds (humans) does not mean more stability, long term. It should be scary for Japanese citizens that their economy, culture, traditions and wealth (in all forms) are in the hands of fewer and fewer people.
Deflation AND inflation are useless when an economy's population is declining.
Deflation/Inflation are a knowledge (wealth) security, distribution and growth tools: they only work when there are people to secure and distribute to.
@Truthcoin What's the point of a "prediction" without an explanation? I guess to take money from those with less or more false knowledge and distribute it to those with more or better hard-to-vary knowledge.
Without inflation this turns knowledge growth into a zero-sum game, though, right?
@Truthcoin There's a strong anti-dialectical message from Popper, too. Prediction markets which select between two outcomes seem to ignore or not take seriously a third option. Do all prediction markets have a sort of 'third option?'
Again, genuinely curious, I am a market layman.
@Truthcoin Genuine questions, not trying to "regurgitate," though obviously am a layman interpreting a book designed for the layman).
I guess, I just worry that there is a relationship between deflation in a monetary system and ideological bubbles/stasis, mainly because I live in Japan.
@mercury_wallet Just playing around with your fun wallet. If the expiry passes for withdrawing statecoins (2 months), what does the GUI look like? Also, if there is a backup transaction, and the fee isn't enough to confirm in time. What happens? Thanks!
