Are porous smaller states that compete on regulation better than larger ones in the internet age? This literally never occured to me. Something like Brexit is bad because it limits civilians from freely passing through those borders. But, what if you could maintain a small proud community AND pass freely between states without massive centralization of regulatory/cultural/etc power?

I'm not libertarian or whatever just pondering.
